So why use Goozex instead of a used videogame store or an auction site with games like Ebay? You just need $1 to pay for the transaction fee. Most people don’t like to continually shell out more money for a game and then feel like the games they bought are depreciating at a very fast rate. Selling your game for cash anywhere will not give you that much. Selling it to a store they will mark your game up to make money. Selling it online at an auction site will incur fees and you still have to pay for shipping. You can get great value from Goozex and just trade in games you don’t want with a demand. There might be more difficulty in sending older sports titles as those don’t have much demand once their season is up like trying to sending in EA sports Madden 2005 will be a hard game to sell to someone on the network. Older games on ebay are a hassle to sell. You can build your own game list and no insertion fees.

Newer games do get pushed out in the system fairly quickly. You have the option of trading just the game, the game with instructions, or the full package that includes case and instructions. This is helpful as some gamers tend to lose instructions and/or cases. The value of the game doesn’t go down as the credits don’t reflect what is included. This is because the user requesting the game can have the option to request only full packaged games, games with instructions, or just the game itself. I have not had a problem with getting full packages as I’ve gotten over 49 games and I’ve sent out 54 in under 2 years of being there.
Why NOT to use
For this site to be a perfect 5 star site I would like to see:
1. More users (will there ever be enough?)
2. More old school games (nes, snes, saturn….)
3. is still not free. I’m a member of another site that has no transaction fees yet still protects the members.
4. Video game trailers for each game
5. More user interaction like user reviews and tournaments…)
All the above are small tweaks to the system that is already very functional. The main reason someone would NOT want to use this system is time and money. If you have the dough you would just buy it new down the street? Why wait? The main draw to the site is how much money you can save and the community there. If your not interested in connecting with other gamers and plan to play all your games alone then the only reason to use the system is money. If you wanted to save money but are impatient then this sits is NOT for you. I’ve experienced about 1-2 month turn around time for new games. Why? You are placed in a waiting line. The order of the Que determines when you get the new game, but more importantly is how many are available? Most people will play a new release for a certain amount of time before listing their games. The wait times do get long. Say you want a popular game that normally runs 40 hours to complete. You gotta factor in that a player like me would take over 1 month to beat a game like that. Seasonal games with many updates like Madden will hit the system quick but it’s also a bad thing. You don’t want to hold a game too long or it will lose it’s value. Trading for early on might be for 1000 points but in a couple months with the market being saturated it could be 500 points in no time losing half of it’s value. Not Goozex’s fault but some games just don’t move well.

This is a game that was overlooked by a lot of people as they really didn’t know much about it. The reason for this was simply because there was not enough press around the game. The game itself is made by Bioware who are of course the people behind Mass Effect. This is their brand new game and they have spent a very long time actually thinking out this idea. Although the game is likely to take you around 150 hours to complete it has to be said that the graphics are not up to the standards that should be expected of a next generation game. A good game though.
Left 4 Dead 2
This game seemed to anger a lot of people as it only took a year to make which is a lot less than it takes to make most games. Whoever said that a game takes around 2 years to make is clearly wrong? The new instalment has improved graphics, improved weapons, and sadly, improved zombies! The best thing about this new game is that many of the levels are actually set in the middle of the day and hitting someone with a frying pan or baseball bat is very satisfying indeed.

There are some quick and easy tips to follow. While some of these tips may seem obvious, it even took me about a week and a half of using the R4 DS before I came up with some ways to make my life (and game playing) a little bit easier.
1. Store your game and other files in a directory on your MicroSD memory card. Create a GAME folder and put all of your GAMES into this folder. You’ll have a much easier time when you are looking for games. It makes navigating the menu much easier, and all of your save game files will also be origanized by default.
2. Store your MP3 Music files and video files in seperate folders too, and in the case of multiple music albums on the memory card, you should make a sub-directory of each album. This is something that is a must for anyone that has a lot of music where all of the songs are labeled TRACK 1, Track 2, etc..MP3 Music, Track 2.mp3, etc… You’ll avoid conficts with file names by putting them all in on directory, and because you can name your sub-directory the name of the CD your ripped, you’ll at least know that TRACK-1.mp3 in the ABBA directory is from the ABBA greatest hits album.
3. Save a copy of your game save files on your hard drive once per week or more. Saving your games isn’t something to do because you worry about losing your game saves due to a bad microSD card. It is a guarantee agaist that, but it also means you can always go back to an earlier game save. Moving files on and off the microSD Card is easy. Making sure you keep a backup of your game saves is not. For this reason, I always recommend that you keep a backup of your microSD card files on you desktop in a folder. or a folder somewhere else on you PC. While this one really seems like an obvious hint, you would be surprised to know that most of our technical support emails for the R4 DS deal with how to get back erased or deleted game saves that were not backed up. If you play games more often, you should definitely do this at least once per week or more often.
4. You don’t want to take out the microSD Card from the R4 DS in the NDS each time you want to add files. Just push the microSD card and it will pop of out the slot in the r4 ds card. Use the included microSD card reader / writer to change your games, music and movie files or add more to your collection on your microSD card.
5. This is my very last tip. And it deals with the microSD card in the card slot of the R4 DS. When you put the Nintendo DS or DS Lite into your pocket or pick it up. Do a double check on the microSD card in the R4DS slot 1 card. Make sure that your MicroSD card in the R4 DS Card is snug an secure to avoid any issues with it popping out or getting lost. The chances of it popping out without you pushing down on the card are slim, but it could happen while you’re carrying it in your pocket. There would be nothing that could be more of a problem that not knowing where your microSD Card is. MicroSD Cards are small and tiny, and once lost, you would have a hard time finding it anywhere else except at a store, where you’d be buying a new one. I suggest always carrying your NDS in a case to make sure you do not lose your R4 DS card. A case makes it much less likely that you’re r4 ds card will get lost. You should do this before you even turn the power on.

Beatles Rock Band
If you are anything like I am then you probably don’t spend time playing video games. I actually kind of hate video games to be honest. In my opinon they are a complete waste of time. So why am I writing about this video game? Because in my opinion The Beatles Rock Band Game is not just a game, it’s a real interactive musical experience.
I am not really talking about the guitar and bass guitar bit. I actually think the guitar part of the game is lame because it has nothing to do with playing real guitar and little to do with the songs you’re playing. It has nothing to do with guitar because playing real 6 string is about 1000 times harder than simply pressing a few color coded buttons and it has little to do with the music because I have found that the changes in the game rarely change at the same time as any chord changes in the music.
It’s the singing and the drumming aspects of the game that excite me. These aspects have a direct relationship to really doing these things “in real life.”
If you sing in key and with the correct timing then you will get a good score. It’s true that you do not have to sing the real lyrics (you can just hum) but so what? What matters is the timing and hitting the right notes. I think The Beatles Rock Band is actually a really great way to improve your singing ability.
When you play the drums on the expert level you you have to hit every drum hit that is in the actual song! I won’t claim it’s precisely like playing real drums, but it is close enough to be pretty effective for practicing.
So yes, The Beatles Rock Band is a great pick-up for any real Beatles fanatic along with (of course) The Beatles in Stereo and The Beatles in Mono box sets.
All Formats Gaming Charts See Wii Sports Report Reclaim Top Spot
A good piece of video game news coming your way. GfK Chart Track has released another weeks gaming rankings and it appears that Wii Sports Resort have managed to climb back onto the top spot despite the release of the very popular Wolfenstein game.
Wii Sports Resort was previously knocked off the top spot by Ashed Cricket 2009 for the past 2 weeks, however, the popular Wii title has been able to climb back to the top. This now gives the title 15 weeks as number 1 game on all formats since it’s release.
Shame for Activision that their recent release, Wolfenstein, wasn’t able to get the all formats no.1 place. With 2000 less sales that Wii Sports Resort, the game only managed to get to the second place in the all formats chart, although it did get number 1 in the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC charts.
Although Activision were not able to claim the overall top spot, they shoul still be pleased that Wolfenstein, CoD: World at War, and Prototype are all in the top 10.
However, Activision and Nintendo might both be knocked off the top spots with the release of Batman: Arkham Asylum this week. This game has already proved massively popular in the pre-order charts, and with the recent demo looking great, sites that do video game reviews have been eager to get this game. I won’t be surprised when the new Batman game rises straight to the number one spot.

Will We Be Seeing Another Tony Hawk In 2010?
Activision have now released their earnings report for the quarter just gone. The publisher announced making $200 million profits on a $1 billion sales earnings. However, the golden piece of video game news behind this announcement is some new game releases were hinted at within their financial report.
Within all the technical talk, there were some hints that in the not too distant future we may see a new Spiderman, Bond, and Tony Hawks game. Mike Griffth, the president of Activision, has confirmed the new Bond game, but has not yet done so for the other 2. Unfortunately, Mr Griffth didn’t give out much information, simple it was in production.
The last Bond game released was published by Activision, and it looks to be one of the best Bond games yet. The game allowed players to play through the adventures in both films, Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. That game had been built by Treyarch, the masters behind many Call of Duty games, probably why it grabbed to many good video game ratings. However, Treyarch was not mentioned as the developers behind this new announcement.
Also, nothing was released about how the storyline of the game would go. so really we have no idea where the storyline could go, it could be based entirely on a new story, a previously released film, or many even a prequel to a yet to be announced film.
As for the other 2 games, there were rumours recently about a new Spiderman film being released wich would suggest a new game release aswell, this I look forward to. Finally, the last game hinted at, Tony Hawks, I don’t think this is going to happen because with Tony Hawk: Ride being released in November, I reckon they won’t release another so quickly after Ride. Although, you never know what they will release next, we’ll just have to wait and see.
