All Formats Gaming Charts See Wii Sports Report Reclaim Top Spot
A good piece of video game news coming your way. GfK Chart Track has released another weeks gaming rankings and it appears that Wii Sports Resort have managed to climb back onto the top spot despite the release of the very popular Wolfenstein game.
Wii Sports Resort was previously knocked off the top spot by Ashed Cricket 2009 for the past 2 weeks, however, the popular Wii title has been able to climb back to the top. This now gives the title 15 weeks as number 1 game on all formats since it’s release.
Shame for Activision that their recent release, Wolfenstein, wasn’t able to get the all formats no.1 place. With 2000 less sales that Wii Sports Resort, the game only managed to get to the second place in the all formats chart, although it did get number 1 in the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC charts.
Although Activision were not able to claim the overall top spot, they shoul still be pleased that Wolfenstein, CoD: World at War, and Prototype are all in the top 10.
However, Activision and Nintendo might both be knocked off the top spots with the release of Batman: Arkham Asylum this week. This game has already proved massively popular in the pre-order charts, and with the recent demo looking great, sites that do video game reviews have been eager to get this game. I won’t be surprised when the new Batman game rises straight to the number one spot.
