Designing Your Farmville Farm
It can be easy or difficult to design. It simply depends on what you want. While others get any items that they want, some people choose a motif. Some things will be unavailable to you for some time, like the Manor or Villa. As you level you will unlock these added items. Visit Farmville Levels for the data; it will tell you in detail how unlocking items operates for the initial 15 levels.
You also want your farm to be well-designed. You need to be able to regularly plant and harvest your farm if you want to level. If it’s too crowded and disorganized, you may find this utterly tough.
Oriental
I once came across a remarkable Asian inspired rice paddy and green tea farm. It is one of the most beautiful and truly peaceful farms I have ever seen on Farmville. It showcased the Pagoda and Tea House which overlooked the Large Pond. The owner picked out turtles, swans and ducks as their animals. The tea fields and paddy were laid out in a design that looked a little like a zen garden’s swirls. I really liked it and have been toying with the idea of opening an account for a second farm just to have my own Oriental farm!
Old-Time Farming
Go old school and design with all the trappings a homesteader would use on their 1800’s era farm! The log cabin, workshop, weathered barn and natural wood fencing are examples of wonderful selections. Leave out the strange animals for this one, try pigs, horses, cows (avoid bizarre colors!) and chickens. Don’t forget that California farmer can plant lemon trees but an Idaho farmer cannot get away with it. Don’t forget to add attractive touches like the Woodpile, Covered Wagon, Outhouse and, Axe and Block.
Funky Farm
This is not just for the black sheep of the farming family; this is for the neon green sheep with a mohawk! Unleash your inner coolness with pink and green animals, unusual harvests and strange extras. An absolute must for this kind of farm is the Groovy Barn. You can choose Pink Barn as well. To show that you’re a unique individual and not frightened to use it, use colorful hay bales and fencing! Allow your fancy to select what belongs on a farm this cool. Do not fret too much!
Events
Each event will have its specific set of limited time things for you to design your farm with. We’ve seen such important events as the Carnival, Christmas, Alien Invasion and Thanksgiving. Buy an item immediately if you see something you need as it may never come again!
Other ideas to help you brainstorm:
Girly Girl Farm ( Lots and lots of pink items are essential for this kind of farm)
Haunted Farm (You want Halloween items for this type of farm)
English Manor House (You want manor plus huge ornamental gardens type of farm. Geometric shapes, a hedge maze, also don’t forget the topiaries!)
