Shaman Leveling Guide – Shaman Leveling Spec
Leveling your WoW Shaman can either be a long and frustrating journey or as easy as a pie. And it all depends on your Shaman leveling talent build.
Players that are new to World of Warcraft ofteh choose the wrong talent tree and waste a lot of time because they don’t read a Shaman leveling guide and don’t understand what their talents are all about.
The primary factor in leveling is your DPS. High damage = faster killing and fast questing. Unfortunately there are many players that get frustrated about shaman leveling and suddenly start to grind mobs over and over – but grinding takes much more time that just doing the quests.
Let me explain what the talent trees are all about – and which one is truely the best one for fast leveling:
The Elemental Tree
This Tree has decent DPS but once you start playing it, you’ll quickly realize that you have to take a lot of mana breaks. This is obviously not what we’re looking for! Also, many of the skills support group members. We want to focus all our available resources on us.
The Restoration Tree
A decent Tree for the end-game. Healing can certainly help with survivability. After all, dying costs a lot of time. But the DPS is so low, that the benefits are irrelevant. Basically you will not use for Shaman leveling. It’s for the endgame – when you want to be a healer in your raid group.
The Enhancement Tree
Now, here comes the good stuff. Enhancement is a leveling build that will help you to deal a LOT of DPS. Also, this Tree is very straight forward, which makes it perfect for shaman leveling.
As you can see, the Tree of choice is Enhancement. Elemental and Restoration are both viable choices once you get to the endgame content. First level to 80 and then you can switch over. Sure you might need new gear and practice, but if you add it up, you’re still faster with Enhancement.
Now spec the Enhancement build and have fun leveling!
