The StarCraft 2 Guide For All Zerg Match-Ups
Are you looking for a way to improve your StarCraft 2 skill and become a better Zerg player? Take a look at my strategy guide and discover many valuable SC2 strategies for every possible Zerg match-up.
Many players call Zerg an underpowered race right now but pro gamers know that the Zerg have many powerful advantages. Zerg are able to change their unit composition or rebuild a whole army in a mere minute or two.
Alright, let’s start with or first match-up: The StarCraft 2 Zerg vs Terran strategy. First of all you have to know that there are many early cheese tactics a Terran player can use to win the game. He can harass with Hellions, Reapers and Banshees or make an early push with a Siege Tank and a few Marauders.
Scout your opponent early to find out if he’s going to attack you with flying or cloaked units and build more Queens, Spine Crawlers, Spore Crawlers or a Lair tech according to your scouting information.
Now on to the StarCraft 2 Zerg vs Zerg match-up. I recommend you to follow your own strategy in this match-up instead of waiting for your enemy to take the lead and make his push.
Popular tactics are fast Roaches, Speedlings/Banelings, fast Speedlings, Hydras and Speedlings to Mutas. Find out if your opponent is going for a fast expand or a strong 1 base play and react accordingly by fast expanding yourself or increasing your army strength by scouting early and often.
The last match-up is the StarCraft 2 Zerg vs Protoss match-up. Especially in this match-up you HAVE to be scouting very early and very carefully! Protoss players love to hide their proxy pylons in and around your base. Prevent their strategy by sending out an early scouting Drone and search the area around your base, in your base and all the hidden places on the map that are likely to be hiding places for that nasty Stargate.
