WoW Blacksmithing – Short Start Up Version
If you want to take part in the World of Warcraft, a profession you could choose is WoW blacksmithing.
This character can design things from iron, like weapons, armor and many other trade items.
WoW blacksmithing is especially useful to the characters that can wear chainmail and armour plate. However, due to the abilities they have acquired in weapons manufacture all other classes can find a reason to employ a blacksmith as well.
To make the most of your WoW blacksmithing profession, it is highly recommended that you also do mining as your second trade. This will allow you to discover and smelt the minerals, ores and other materials that you will require for your skill, saving you vast amounts of gold at the Auction House.
You want to become a blacksmith
To start your WoW blacksmithing training you need to be at least level 5.
Now you head off to the closest blacksmith training ground and begin your training.
You will need a hammer plus the use of an anvil to make the most of the recipes you will learn.
Your recipes in WoW blacksmithing will let you know whether they will advance your level.

Skill points are accumulated only by working at your chosen trade.
- You will nearly always get a skill point when you work on an orange recipe.
- Yellow recipes also give a skill point the majority of the time.
- Green recipes will only occasionally earn you a skill point.
- Grey recipes won’t earn you skill points for crafting them.
When you level up your WoW blacksmithing
When you require more recipes and more advanced training as you level up you will have to return to your original trainer. You could also loot more recipes from corpses, buy more from the auction house or get them from certain vendors.
The top levels of WoW blacksmithing you’ll have to have the Wrath of the Lich King expansions and the Burning Crusade.
If you want to specialize at blacksmithing you will need to finish a specialization quest.
Do not forget to choose the quest that you want very wisely, because you are bound by your decision.
