WoW First Aid – Helping Yourself and Others
As one of the three secondary professions which you can choose from the in the World of Warcraft First Aid has been around for a while. This profession has never been much popular since it isn’t one of the profitable or the most fun professions available. However, all good players had their First Aid skilled to the maximum.
First Aid is usually a need for any class which doesn’t have healing abilities such as Rogues, Hunters, Mages, Warlocks, Warriors and Death Knights, even though the healing classes can also have a good use of it. First Aid plays a deciding factor during fights in Battlegrounds or in Arenas. Click here for more on WoW First Aid Leveling Guide
What is First Aid all about?
First Aid is about using bandages in the purpose of healing or removing a poison effect. You will need this skill when you receive any kind of damage. You can use it in instances on boss fights (PVE) or in arenas and battlegrounds (PVP) as mentioned before.
How do I use bandages?
Once made bandages come in the stacks of 20. If you want to use one of these bandages you should click on another player and then click again on one of the bandages. If you move the effect a bandage has will stop and keep in mind that if you are healing another person, he/she needs to be in range. Once applied a bandage cannot be used again on the same individual until the 60 second debuff fades. You will be able to see the “Recently Bandaged” debuff. When the 60 seconds pass and a debuff disappears, a new bandage can be applied. For the best leveling guide click here: Ultimate Guide WoW
The material used
FA uses all sorts of cloth. As you progress through game and level up you will encounter different types of cloth. You can make bandages from all these types of cloth. Cloth drops from humanoids and it is the most common drop you will encounter during leveling and therefore getting your First Aid skill to the maximum won’t be a problem. If you didn’t level your First Aid before and hit level 80 without it you can always grind or buy the cloth. If you choose to grind, the perfect place for it are instances and, as said before, humanoid npcs.
Where to begin?
Your career in First Aid will begin as soon as you find the First Aid trainer. The first FA trainers could be found in the racial starting areas. To train First Aid for the start you won’t need much just a fee of 10 copper. First you will need linen cloth to make in order to make linen bandages and by making these you will be able to reach level 75. From there on you can use different types of cloth to skill up even more. The FA trainers can be found in the cities of Azeroth, Outland and Northrend. If you do not know which trainer to visit, one of the others can direct you towards the right trainer.
First Aid quests – Is there any?
The answer to this question is yes. The quest Triage should be completed if you want to be an Apprentice in First Aid. The objective of this quest is to save fifteen patients before some die with the use of special Triage Bandages. The Alliance players can do this quest in Theramore and the Horde Players can complete it in Hammerfall. If you would like more on WoW Leveling, click here: WoW Guides
