In this WoW Paladin Guide you’ll learn about the Paladin and strategies specific to this WoW class.

Paladin: Introduction

In Warcraft the Paladin is the holy knight or holy warrior. Their unique play style makes them in many ways a combination of Priests and Warriors. This gives the Paladin good play style options that can be great for a player who likes both the supporting role of a healer and the combat of the Warrior. The Paladin class is only available to the Human, Dwarf, Draenei, and Blood Elf races.

Among their strengths, which I’ll talk about later, is their fantastic ability in battle. Much of this is due to their heavy plate armor that can withstand huge amounts of damage. Secondly, they can use massive weapons including two handed maces, axes, swords and polearms that can absolutely destroy enemies like the Undead.

They’re also fantastic healers with the ability to self heal, heal allies, and resurrect the dead. This along with their ability to protect allies with auras and blessings make them great for groups.

WoW Paladin Guide: The Basics

Spells:

Being secondary spell casters, Paladins are able to cast spells known as Seals. These only have a life of 2 minute but in that time you can cause more damage in battle or generate some mana. Mana is extremely important as it is use for many of the Paladins abilities such as spell casting.

Seals can also provide Judgment which can cause more damage or prevent enemies from fleeing.

Auras:

With a bubble of up to 40 yards Auras provide really good buffs to groups.

Blessings:

Blessings are like auras but apply to characters. For the 10 minutes they last you’ll be able to increase attacking power or regenerate mana.

Professions:

In conclusion of this WoW Paladin Guide I’ll give you a quick look at some good profession combinations for the Paladin.

  • Hearbalism & Alchemy: Conserve your mana by using potions for healing.
  • Mining with Blacksmithing: Make your armor yourself instead of getting it at the Auction House or through questing.
  • Mining & Engineering: You can make gadgets like grenades which give you more ability for ranged attacks.
